Tropical Environment

Johor Bahru campus with an area exceeding 2,800 acres has placed UTM at an advantageous position to provide higher education package, within a world class tropical campus. UTM will provide world class facilities and infrastructure: research and teaching laboratories, lecture halls, residential colleges, Scholar’s Inn, long houses, traditional houses, trails, recreational lakes, a multitude of flora and fauna depicting the uniqueness of UTM campus as a Tropical Campus for the benefit of scholars and students, as well as visiting professors and guests.

The Campus Eco-Tourism programme will be widened, not only to improve exciting facilities, but also to add and upgrade, eventually becoming a holiday and tourist destination, akin to the surroundings of Oxford and Cambridge.
