The landscape of politics in Egypt locally have many impact to other countries, these includes Malaysia which have a good diplomatic relation with Egypt for a very long time.
These relations also includes many other sectors such as tourism, education, trade and also human resources. Malaysia, from Egypt point of view supplies capital through tourism. Malaysia also is one of the major country that send students to Egypt to study, from Islamic jurisprudence to medic and dentistry.
The recent development in Egypt that start with the toppled of Hosni Mubarak to the rise and fall of Brotherhood party, and also a coup that toppled the Egypt first democratically elected president Muhammad Morsi, saw a need of a closer look to the political dynamic of this country.
To understand better the dynamic of Egyptian politics and its effect to Malaysia, UTM will host a lecture that will be deliver by Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mahmoud Ghonim, member of Al-Azhar Fatwa Council of Tanta. This lecture will be held at Dewan Al-Marbawiy S45 on 20th January 2015.
