Football is maybe the sport that is most watched and loved in Malaysia. Been a student in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), you will heard one way or another about the Johor State Football Team. The team was called The Southern Tiger due to the geographical location of the state in southern Malaysia,  but among the local people the team is called simply JDT (acronym for Johor Darul Takzim, the name of the state).

Yesterday was the final match of the Charity Shield between JDT and Pahang. Since I will graduate soon, it will be a little bit awkward if I never went to the stadium, just to provide an answer if people ever ask me about the stadium or the team.

But unluckily the tickets were sold out. The ticket was sold starting from 9 pm at the stadium ticket counter, by 1 pm 50 000 tickets already sold out, and I was among the unlucky one.

So, finally we just settled in one of the restaurant with big screen in Taman Universiti to watch the anticipated match. JDT won the game with 2 goals by Marcos Antonio and Luciano Figueroa. It was an exiting game I would say. Although I’m not a Johorean, still I’m proud of JDT performance last night.

Congratulation! the win was well deserved.
