Swimming is a relaxing and peaceful form of exercise, study shows that swimming can alleviate your stress and provide you with a good low-impact therapy for some injuries. Unlike other ground sport, swimming has no ground impact. So, you don’t have to worry about your joint, they will not be affected by any major stress or strain.
And if you are a kind of person that currently searching for a sport that can help you build endurance, swimming is your type of sport. Study have found that it can improve your oxygen consumption up to 10%!
For people with asthma where sport might be troubling, swimming provides the chance to work out in moist air and help reduce the exercise-induced asthma symptoms. Study even indicates that it can actually improve the condition after all.

If you live in Johor Bahru or Pasir Gudang, I suggest you to drop by to the swimming pool in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. UTM swimming pool is a 25 meter long, 1.35 deep, 8 lane pool with a 12′ deep diving well. It offer a broad range of activities to suit most needs. These include public swims, swimming lessons, aquarobics, over 50’s sessions for adult and and also for children.

Monday: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Wednesday: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
Thursday: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Friday: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
Saturday: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Sunday: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
Female session
Tuesday: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
Wednesday: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Friday: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Saturday: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
Sunday: 2.30 pm – 6.30 pm
The student is charged RM4 per session while RM6 is charged for public. Don’t forget your goggles and cap!
