The planning to run a model test must be made thoroughly and also early. You have to includes some extra time in your plan in case any undesirable things happen, it is out of control, but if you have extra time, at least you have some option on hand.
This is what happen when I want to run a test in the Marine Technology Centre, University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). It turn out that somebody else, had change the ship bow of my intended model. Lucky me, I still have some time to do some tweaking.
So, I went to the head of the marine lab, to have a permission to change back the bow. Discuss with the engineer in the lab and finally meet with the technician to do the wood works. The technician, En. Lan turn out to be a very helpful person. After some serious work of measuring, cutting, trimming, gluing finally I have my model back according to the linesplan. Here some pictures for you, on how it was done:
1- The original bow (MTL036) and the new modified one (MTL036B)
2- Cutting the bow
3- Put a glue on the surface after it had been trim
4- Voila! Back with the original bow according to the linesplan
