In part 1, I already show how the bow is cut, trim and then the original bow is then glued to the ship hull, back to its original lines plan. Mr. Azlan, from Marine Technology Center UTM have guide me along all this tedious process. Over time, I quickly feel comfortable working with him, now I just called him Pak Lan. Very skilled and friendly indeed.
After one day and the glue has already harden, now its time to polish the surface of the new hull, and repaint it. Before any sanding is done, the ship hull must be check if there is any crack or holes. After locating them, they were filled with filler.
The surface is then was polished using sand paper before it can be sprayed with undercoat. This coating is done several layer to ensure the surface is smooth without any flaw. It take me 2 days to do the sanding and coating. I would like to thank Mr. Haidi for helping and guiding me to do the spray painting for the under coat. Here’s some pictures for you.
